AEW Dynamite Tops WWE NXT Again, Both Shows See Ratings Drop

The ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT were released Thursday. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily,  AEW once again beats NXT. This time both shows see a significant drop in ratings.

AEW drew 685,000 viewers, finished 37th overall, way down from last week’s show of 819,000 viewers. Again this show took place in front of no fans this time in Georgia at the Nightmare Factory. That show featured the main event of Sammy Guevara and Shawn Spears def. Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin.

NXT drew 590,000 viewers, finished 74th overall, this is down also from last week’s record low.

The total combined audience for both shows was 1.275 million viewers. This is the lowest combined audience to watch on Wednesday night since the Wednesday Night War began in the fall of 2019. 

Based on the ratings, most people in the US were watching one of the three cables news networks most of the night due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Demographic breakdown:

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.25 / NXT: 0.15
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.18
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.22
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.15
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.11
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.14
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.30
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.29
