AEW Dynamite Viewership Down For Last Wednesday’s Show

Last week’s AEW Dynamite episode was able to draw a total of 1.319 million viewers, while Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw a total of 1.175 million viewers, Showbuzz Daily and Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports.

This total is down 10.91% from last week’s episode of Dynamite, which drew a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 key demo. This past Wednesday’s rating of 0.44 is down 15.38% from last week’s 0.52 rating in the key 18-49 demo. The 0.44 rating in the 18-49 key demographic represents around 574,000 total viewers that watched last Wednesday’s Dynamite from that demographic. This is down 15.71% from last week’s 681,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo.

Last Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured CM Punk on commentary, Dan Lambert and American Top Team in an in-ring segment, Shawn Spears vs. Darby Allin, “Legit” Leyla Hirsch vs. Jade Cargill, Adam Cole making AEW in-ring debut vs. Frankie Kazarian, Bryan Danielson addressing the AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Eddie Kingston teaming with Jon Moxley vs. 2point0, which was the main event.

The viewership number of last Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, which drew the third-highest audience of the year and the fourth-highest audience in Dynamite history, was up 32.62% from the same week in 2020, which, at the time, competed against the NXT brand, while the 18-49 key demo rating was up 29.41% from the same week in 2020.

Last Wednesday night’s Dynamite topped the night on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 key demo, while Dynamite ranked #26 in viewership for the night on cable. This is the fourth week AEW Dynamite has ranked #1 on the Cable Top 150, while the show’s viewership is down from last week’s #19 ranking. This past Wednesday night’s Dynamite beat last Monday’s WWE RAW in the 18-49 key demographic for the second week in the row as Dynamite drew a rating of 0.44 with a total of 574,000 viewers from the 18-49 demo, while RAW drew a rating of 0.43 with a total of 556,000 from the 18-49 demo. Both WWE RAW and AEW Dynamite had a rating of 0.44 in the 18-49 key demo last week, but AEW Dynamite drew more viewers with a total of 681,000, while WWE RAW drew a total of 678,000 viewers.
