Last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw a total of 941,000 viewers, while last Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite episode was able to draw a total of 878,000 viewers, according to Showbuzz Daily and Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.
This total is down 6.69% from last week’s Dynamite episode, which drew a 0.33 rating in the 18-49 key demo. This past Wednesday night’s 0.33 rating is down 17.5% from last week’s 0.40 rating in the 18-49 key demo. Last Wednesday night’s rating of 0.33 in the 18-49 key demo represents around 424,000 total viewers that watched last Wednesday night’s Dynamite episode from that demo. This is down 18.14% from last week’s 518,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo.
Last Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured Jamie Hayter vs. Anna Jay in an AEW TBS Title Tournament First Round Match, AAA Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) defending the AAA Tag Team Titles against Samuray del Sol and Aerostar, Andrade El Idolo vs. Cody Rhodes, AEW World Champion Kenny Omega vs. Alan Angels in a Non-Title Match and Orange Cassidy vs. Miro in an AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Semi-Finals Match, which was the main event.
The viewership number of last Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, which drew the lowest audience as well as the lowest key demo rating since the Road Rager episode last July 7th, was up 22.45% from the same week in 2020, which would compete against WWE NXT at the time, while the key 18-49 demo rating was up 6.66% from the same week in 2020.
Last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite ranked #6 for the night on the Cable Top 150, with a 0.33 rating in the 18-49 key demo, which is down from last week’s #4 ranking. Last Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite ranked #34 in viewership for the night on cable, which is equal to last week’s #34 ranking. The company only had competition from the NBA this past Wednesday night and that was average.
