AEW Reuploads Latest Dark Episode Due To Max Caster Rap Controversy

This past Tuesday night’s episode of AEW Dark, which was the show’s 100th episode, featured a huge 8-Man Tag Team Match, where The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster) teamed up with Matt Hardy and The Blade to face Varsity Blonds (Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison) and The Sydals (Matt and Mike Sydal). The match saw The Acclaimed, Matt Hardy and The Blade pick up a major win over Varsity Blonds and The Sydals.

Prior to the match, Max Caster revealed his latest rap as The Acclaimed were making their way down to the ring, but due to the controversial content of Max’s rap, the promotion received a lot of backlash on social media and had no choice but to re-upload the 100th episode of AEW Dark with The Acclaimed’s entrance edited out, though the original broadcast aired Caster’s rap.

The AEW Star’s rap included a reference to Simone Biles, who withdrew from the recent competition due to an issue with mental health, a line that referenced the 2006 Duke Lacrosse scandal, where three of Duke University’s men’s Lacrosse team members were declared to be falsely accused of a rape charge in Durham, North Carolina and a reference to Julia Hart. There is no word yet on if this will affect Max Caster in any way or if he will be punished or penalized or if there will be other repercussions, but updates will be provided once it has been made available.
