AEW Star Hikaru Shida Shows Off Her New Look

At the Double or Nothing PPV last May 30th, Hikaru Shida defended the AEW Women’s World Title against Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., but came up short as Baker walked out the match as the new AEW Women’s World Champion. Prior to dropping the title to Baker, Shida held the title for 373 days and is the longest-reigning AEW Women’s World Champion in the short history of the promotion so far. Hikaru Shida became the AEW Women’s World Champion at last year’s Double or Nothing Event when she beat Nyla Rose in a No DQ Match.

Shida recently took to her Twitter and teased that she is going to be changing her look as she posted a photo of her hair laying on the floor after cutting it off, with the caption, “#Restart.” On Monday on Dark: Elevation, Shida debuted her new look when she faced Diamante in a Singles Match on the main event of the show that saw her come out of victorious. After her win, Shida took to her Instagram and posted a photo of herself with her new look sporting a shorter hair and writing, “New Shida is here.”
