AEW Star Joey Janela Out Of Action Due To A Concussion

As previously reported, AEW Star Joey Janela revealed on social media that he is currently out of in-ring action and is not medically cleared to be in any type of physical competition due to his injury, but that he is “almost 85% sure” that he will be able to wrestle on the July 10th GCW show in Dallas, Texas. Joey Janela did post a photo of himself on Twitter putting in work at the gym and getting back in shape, which could be a sign that his in-ring return may be imminent.

Appearing on an episode of the Wrestling Perspective podcast, Janela revealed he is currently dealing with a concussion, but he will be coming back soon and be cleared to compete and pick things up right where he left it before he got injured.

This is what Joey Janela said:

“I’ll be coming back soon. I’m dealing with an injury right now, a little concussion deal. Sh** happens, everyone knows that, it’s wrestling. All sports, everyone gets concussions. I’ll be cleared from that in the coming weeks, maybe the coming weekend. I’ll be good and hopefully doing AEW stuff soon. Things were about to pick up for me right before that happened [the concussion].”

Janela last competed for AEW on the Friday, May 28 episode of Dynamite, when he lost to Hangman Page. Prior to that, Joey Janela defeated Daniel Garcia on the May 17 episode of Dark: Elevation and he won a Singles Match against Bear Bronson on the May 25th episode of Dark.
