AEW Star Kip Sabian To Return With A New Gimmick Soon

Kip Sabian had a run-in with his former tag team partner and current TNT Champion Miro in a backstage segment during an episode of AEW Dynamite last April. The segment saw Sabian being beaten down by the TNT Champion, which would keep him off of AEW TV for several months. The segment was done as a way to write Sabian off of television as Kip revealed on his Twitter that he will need to undergo surgery as he has been dealing with injuries since last December and the promotion used the backstage segment of Miro brutally attacking Sabian as a way to keep him out of the storylines.

It appears that Kip Sabian may now be ready to make his return to AEW TV and he will do so with a new gimmick. Kip Sabian revealed on his Twitter last May that the surgery he had on his injured arm was a success and Kip even took part in an unadvertised meet and greet with fans at AEW’s All Out Fan Fest.

Kip Sabian was seen wearing a suit and a box on top of his head with the words, “underrated, over it” written on the box. There was also a sand timer on the side of the box and a caption that says, “Time doesn’t heal…It changes you…,” possibly giving the AEW fans a taste of what his new gimmick will look like when he makes his return.

A new video was recently posted, where it was shown that Sabian had the same box on his head standing in front of a projector screen that was showcasing his run in AEW so far and it appears that Sabian’s first feud when returns is with Sammy Guevara. Fans who attended last night’s Dynamite: Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York said that they saw Sabian hanging outside of the stadium.

Sabian last competed for AEW on the March 24th episode of Dynamite, where he and Miro lost the Arcade Anarchy Match to Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy. There’s no word yet on when Sabian will make his TV return, but updates will be provided as it becomes available.
