AEW Star Rebel Reportedly Suffers An Injury On Dynamite

This past Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite saw AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker and Rebel battle Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero in Women’s Division Tag Team action. The match ended with Baker forcing Guerrero to tap out after applying her Lockjaw submission.

At one point during the match, Nyla Rose tried to end the match via pinfall, but Rebel prevented that from happening when she bulldozed Nyla using a sliding position to break things up and in the process it seemed that Rebel injured her knee or her leg. Rebel then immediately told Nyla that something was wrong and Nyla Rose moved her towards the ropes. Rebel then had to crawl to the corner, where she was checked on by the ringside doctors while the match was still under way.

After the match, Rebel couldn’t stand on her own two feet and she couldn’t put weight on her leg. She would then be carried to the back by the doctors as a “Rebel!” chant started up from the crowd.

According to Fightful Select, Rebel suffered a dislocated kneecap when she was attempting to break up the pin, but no other details were provided yet such as the severity of her injury. In an injury such as this, the usual recovery time is around 6 weeks, but it is too early to mention if Rebel will miss any ring time, though we should have more details after she goes to a doctor for further evaluation.
