Christian Cage Files To Trademark His Own Ring Name

Christian Cage recently filed to trademark his own ring name with the USPTO (the United States Patent and Trademark Office) for entertainment purposes. Just like numerous AEW Stars in the past, Christian Cage had the trademark filing done through Attorney Michael E. Dockins. Christian originally filed to trademark his ring name back in 2005, after which he was granted the trademark rights.

When Christian made his return to the WWE in 2010, he no longer paid close attention to his trademark and he let it expire. Christian made his promotional AEW debut at the company’s Revolution Event when he was revealed as the major star who had just signed a contract with them. Christian would then make his highly-anticipated AEW in-ring debut in the opening match of an episode of Dynamite back in March when he faced and defeated Frankie Kazarian.

Below is the use description Christian submitted to the USPTO:

“G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestling and sports entertainment in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”
