AEW Star Ricky Starks Reportedly Suffers A Fractured Neck

Voices Of Wrestling recently reported that AEW Star Ricky Starks has suffered a fractured neck during the April 21 episode of Dynamite when he lost to Hangman Page. The injury to the neck reportedly took place when Starks had a nasty landing on his head courtesy of a release German suplex.

It was also revealed that Ricky Starks is expected to miss around 3 months of in-ring action, but the doctors are confident that Starks will not be needing any surgery for his neck to heal. Despite Ricky Starks needing some time off to heal, he is still expected to appear on AEW TV in some capacity. Even though his neck injury happened during his match against Hangman Page, Starks interestingly still had a match after he got injured, when he teamed with Powerhouse Hobbs to defeat Brick Aldridge and Aaron Frye at the AEW Dark tapings the night after.

As of this writing, Starks has yet to comment on his injury, but he did post a photo of what seems to be an x-ray. Starks did also mention to a fan last April 21 that he was “good” after competing in his match against Hangman. Starks did also send a tweet after his match against Hangman thanking DDP Yoga for his flexibility.
