AEW Star The Butcher Reportedly Suffers An Injury

This past Wednesday’s post-Full Gear episode of AEW Dynamite saw The Butcher and The Blade face NEVER Openweight Champion Tomohiro Ishii and Orange Cassidy in Tag Team action, but would unfortunately end up on the losing side. Bryan Alvarez revealed on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Live that The Butcher suffered a torn bicep during the match, but it wasn’t mentioned at what point during the bout he suffered the injury and the exact details of how he suffered the injury.

Last April 9th, The Butcher suffered a hand injury, when he lost to then-AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin at the promotion’s “The House Always Wins” Event. The injury put him on the shelf until the September 5 All Out PPV Event, but he was still able to appear on the AEW Dark TV Tapings immediately after the injury before he went on a hiatus.

There is no word on yet on how long The Butcher will be out of action, or the severity of his injury, but updates will be provided as it becomes available, though it typically takes around 3-4 months for a talent to return from a torn bicep. There’s also no word yet on if this injury will have any impact in the touring schedule of The Butcher’s band, Every Time I Die as the AEW Star has been on tour with his band as of late, but he did take the night off from touring, when he competed in the tag match on Dynamite.
