AEW Thinking Of Commissioner Role For AEW Dynamite

All Elite Wrestling is rumored to be looking at spicing things up when it comes to AEW Dynamite in the coming 2020 year. Rumor has it they are considering a type of an on-screen authority figure. Similar to the days in WWE when both RAW and Smackdown had Commissioners.

According to WrestleVotes, AEW is looking into a head figure for TV programming. The job could potentially serve as a way to control talent.

One rumored name for the role is Taz. He is already signed on to making his second appearance with the company at the homecoming edition of AEW Dynamite on January 1st from Jacksonville, Florida. Taz recently finished up his job with CBS Sports Radio and could be on the market for a new gig.

Taz made his AEW commentary debut on October 16th at the tapings for AEW Dark, which aired on October 22nd via YouTube. He also made a guest appearance as a pre-show commentator for Full Gear on November 9th.

Take this as straight rumor but what do you think? Should AEW try this model for their shows?

UPDATE: Dave Metzler has shot down the rumor
