AEW’s Revolution PPV May Have Stiff Competition From The NBA

It was previously reported that AEW’s upcoming PPV known as AEW Revolution was announced to be originally taking place on Saturday, February 27th from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW decided that the PPV will not be taking place on the 27th as originally announced since that date was discussed as a possibility of when Jake Paul’s next major boxing PPV will happen. They didn’t want to go head-to-head with a blockbuster showdown between Jake Paul and Canelo Alvarez.

Dave Meltzer then noted that Saturday, March 6th or Sunday, March 7th have been discussed as possible new dates for Revolution, but if Revolution would have taken place on Saturday, March 6th, that would have brought competition from UFC 259.

F4WOnline.com then reported that AEW’s Revolution has been set to take place on Sunday, March 7th.

According to the Wrestling Observer, All Elite Wrestling may now be looking to reschedule the PPV yet again as on Sunday, March 7th, AEW might be facing a head-to-head competition with the NBA as the NBA might be considering to hold their annual All-Star game on March 7th as well.

As of this writing, AEW or even the NBA has yet to officially confirm their schedules, but updates will be provided once it’s been made available.
