Austin Gunn, Son Of WWE HOF Billy Gunn’s Signs With AEW

Austin Gunn, the son of WWE Hall Of Famer Billy Gunn, has signed a contract with AEW. Cody Rhodes announced it during the AEW Dark tapings that took place this week in Southaven Missippi at the Landers Center.

Austin Gunn has been working dark matches for AEW as of late. He teamed up with his father Billy last week, taking on Santana and Ortiz. Then again, teamed with his dad this week facing the team of Shawn Spears and Preston Vance in another dark match.

Gunn, 25, started wrestling in 2017 and has been working on the independent scene since. In August, he competed in the 2019 Top Prospect Tournament for Ring of Honor. Eventually losing to Dak Draper in the finals in September.

He also took part in the first AEW All Out Battle Royal in 2018. That was eventually won by Flip Gordon under a mask.
