Backstage News On Luther’s All Elite Wrestling Status

Luther (A.K.A. Dr. Luther) signed with All Elite Wrestling in late 2019 and made his first television appearance on the January 8th, 2020 episode of AEW Dynamite during an AEW World Women’s Title Matchup between Riho and Kris Statlander as the fourth member of the Nightmare Collective stable, which would also consist of Awesome Kong, Brandi Rhodes and Mel. Luther would then make his in-ring debut for AEW on the February 28th episode of AEW Dark, when he defeated Sonny Kiss in a Singles Match and he would then officially sign with the company on March 11th, 2020 as both an in-ring competitor as well as an unspecified role in the AEW office.

Fightful Select reports that in addition to Luther’s duties as an in-ring competitor, Luther has been working as a producer and a coach as well behind-the-scenes. It was also mentioned on the report that Luther helped produce a match for the Grand Slam episode of AEW Rampage, which can be seen tonight on TNT, but it wasn’t revealed which match that was exactly, though it was noted that Luther has been in the producer role for quite some time.

According to Fightful Select, Luther’s tag team partner in the Chaos Project faction, Serpentico, has been working as an in-ring competitor and as a producer and a coach and he has mostly been working on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation, but there is no word yet on how long the wrestling veteran has been coaching and producing in addition to competing in in-ring action.
