Booker T Backs Out Of The Starrcast III Convention

WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T recently took to his Twitter and said that he has backed out of the Starrcast III Convention that is scheduled to take place next month in Chicago. The Starrcast III Convention is running in conjunction with AEW’s All Out PPV Event which is also set to take place in the Chicago area.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Booker T backed out of the event after already agreeing to make an appearance. Meltzer also said that according to Booker the reason for him backing out is due to finding out that the war between WWE and AEW is very real and that he didn’t want to be in the middle of it. According to Meltzer, Booker also told him to expect “another major counter by WWE” soon.

Booker T is still part of the Kickoff Show Panel whenever WWE has a PPV, which means that he is likely signed to a legends contract with the company. It looks like Booker T backing out of the Starrcast III Convention was a WWE decision, but it is interesting that when he had an event with IMPACT Wrestling this past Saturday night with his Reality Of Wrestling Promotion, there were no issues and he didn’t back out of that.
