Brodie Segment Taking Shots At Vince Made People Very Upset

It was previously reported that this past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite saw Brodie Lee make his much-anticipated AEW in-ring debut when he defeated QT Marshall in a one-on-one match via pinfall with a discus lariat.

Prior to the match, there was a backstage segment wherein Brodie Lee was eating some steak and having a discussion with Alex Reynolds and John Silver.

Brodie Lee was then giving Alex Reynolds and John Silver a lecture on the direction where the Dark Order was heading and that they needed to get with the program. Silver would then try and eat Brodie Lee’s food, but Brodie Lee kicked him out for eating before he was done with his meal. Alex Reynolds would then sneeze, which would make Lee mad and kick Reynolds out as well.

The backstage segment reportedly saw Brodie Lee dress similar to WWE CEO Vince McMahon and there have been stories that Vince McMahon doesn’t like people sneezing around him. Brodie Lee reportedly also referenced Vince McMahon last week when he told Christopher Daniels he wasn’t the first old man that doubted him.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, this backstage segment was actually done to purposely make fun of WWE CEO Vince McMahon. Meltzer also said that this segment included references to Vince McMahon eating at Morton’s Steakhouse and getting mad because he had to be the first one to eat. The sneeze that was done by Brodie Lee was also a shot at Vince McMahon getting mad. It was then noted that some people within the WWWE are “very upset” about the segment as it was a direct shot at Vince McMahon.
