It was previously reported that AEW Star Chris Jericho and his band Fozzy was supposed to have a show this past Friday night from the Swansea Sin City in Swansea, Wales, but the show was nixed due to The Demo God being hospitalized because of a non-COVID-19 related health issue that can be treated. Hours later, the venue where Fozzy’s show was supposed to take place posted a message from the band, saying that Chris Jericho was checked into a hospital by doctors due to a non-COVID-19 related health issue, which can and will be treated, but Fozzy’s show in Swansea, Wales has been cancelled and tickets will be refunded.
An update was recently provided by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Jericho had talked to them and noted he is feeling good and the hospital just wanted to observe him overnight and that he is in the right place as what he had was not COVID related. Jericho also mentioned to Meltzer how Fozzy’s 12-date “Save The World” tour in the UK has been as the tour was 100% sold out in all the stops.
Last Tuesday, Fozzy had a show in Bournemouth, England and was scheduled to wrap up the tour later on tonight in Nottingham and Sunday in London, but there is no word on if the shows will still happen or if it will be canceled. Chris Jericho last appeared for AEW on the December 1 Dynamite episode, where he was attacked by 2point0 (Matt Lee and Jeff Parker) and Daniel Garcia as a way to pull him from AEW TV due to his band Fozzy’s 12-date “Save The World” tour in the United Kingdom.
Chris Jericho last wrestled for AEW at the Full Gear PPV last November 13, when The Inner Circle beat Ethan Page, Scorpio Sky and American Top Team in a 10-Man Street Fight.
