AEW’s Revolution PPV, which took place on March 7, saw one of the biggest, if not the biggest signing in the history of All Elite Wrestling when Christian Cage was revealed as the major star who signed a contract with the company. Christian Cage made his way down to the ring, didn’t utter a word, signed his contract with All Elite Wrestling, and left it in the middle of the ring. Christian then flaunted his new AEW shirt, which read, “Out. Work. Everyone.”
Christian recently appeared as a guest on Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast, where he commented on as well as reacted to fans criticizing his recent signing with AEW. Christian said it is a kind of thing that it doesn’t matter who the major star is as people have an opinion and they get to pick who it is and if it turns out to be someone they don’t want it to be, they will get upset.
This is what Christian Cage said:
“The way I think of it is that when you make that kind of announcement, it doesn’t matter who it is.”“You’ve given people an opinion and they’re gonna pick who they think it should be or want it to be. And when it’s not who they want it to be, they’re gonna be upset.”
Christian then said that it’s fine as that’s the fans’ choice and he thinks it’s pretty obvious. Cage also said those same fans will probably be saying if he went somewhere else that he is not being used right.
This is what Christian Cage said:
“That’s fine. That’s their choice and I think it’s pretty obvious.” “Especially the social media wrestling fans are very fickle and a lot of times, that’s just the way it goes.” “But the same people will probably be saying if I went somewhere else, ‘Oh, he’s not being used right.’ So it is what it is. You take it with a grain of salt and move on.”
Christian will face Frankie Kazarian tonight on Dynamite in a Singles Match and it will reportedly be his AEW in-ring debut.
