AEW’s Revolution PPV saw Christian Cage be revealed as the major star that has signed a contract with the company. Christian Cage made his way down to the ring, didn’t say a word, signed his contract with All Elite Wrestling, and left it in the middle of the ring. Christian then flaunted his new AEW shirt, which read, “Out. Work. Everyone.”
Last week’s episode of Dynamite then saw Christian make his AEW TV debut and he was supposed to speak during his debut, but he was interrupted by AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, the IMPACT World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers, and Don Callis. A brawl would then ensue between Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, The Good Brothers, and Eddie Kingston after the AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Callis cracked some jokes on Moxley and Kingston, which led to Christian making his way down to the ring.
Kenny Omega would then end up alone inside the ring with Christian as Christian would talk some trash with the AEW World Champion. Omega then extended his hands to Christian and offered him to shake his, but Christian passed and Omega took a swing at him. Christian then ducked and looked to hit the World Champion with The Unprettier, but Don Callis pulled the AEW World Champion out of the ring to safety. Christian then held the AEW World Title and looked at it before walking to the back, possibly setting up a future feud between the two.
Christian finally spoke during last night’s episode of Dynamite as he was addressing what occurred on last week’s show. Taking part in a backstage interview, Christian revealed there’s only one spot that interests him, and it’s currently occupied by AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. Christian also said and speaking of Kenny Omega, last week on Dynamite he showed up and scooped his time. Christian then said he guesses when you’re the champion you can do whatever you want, but he is not mad and it is cool as it gave him a chance to go out there and meet Kenny for the first time face-to-face, and let him know that as champ, he is on borrowed time.
Christian also said that there is a term in the wrestling business for the type of wrestler when they get in that ring on a nightly basis, no matter the situation, no matter the opponent, they bust their a** more than anyone else on the card and they are called a workhorse. Christian then said the locker room knows his reputation as being a workhorse and he intends in bringing his workhorse style in AEW, where he will make wrestling better and make the wrestlers level up.
