Professional wrestling legend and AEW’s Head of Talent Relations Christopher Daniels recently made an appearance at the C2E2 Convention in Chicago, Illinois last weekend with several AEW Stars and talked about the last match he had in AEW as well as how he has been weighing his options since then, but he wants to get back in the ring and mix it up with the AEW roster.
This is what Christopher Daniels said:
“The last match I had for AEW television was the night that we wrestled against the Bucks and unfortunately, we lost and SCU had to split up.” “Since that time, I have sort of been weighing my future in the ring and I decided that I still wanted to give wrestling in the ring a go. Honestly, I would be lying if I said that I was happy going to AEW and not seeing my name on the board. I want to get back in the ring and do something with this roster.”
Christopher Daniels also talked about how it may not be the best time for him to compete in AEW right now due to the promotion having a stacked roster and so many young talents, but he still hopes to get in the ring at some point for AEW if officials want him back and if he feels he is still contributing to the company.
This is what Christopher Daniels said:
“But I also realize that AEW is not a vanity project, and maybe Christopher Daniels in the ring isn’t the best thing for AEW at this time with such a stacked card and so many young talents there.” “It’s not my call. I hope to get in the ring at some point soon, but if not, I also realize that I’m still contributing to AEW. And if fate decides that my best contribution is behind the scenes, then so be it. But I’m still ready to go and the minute I see my name on the board, I’ll lace them up and bring it.”
Christopher Daniels last competed for All Elite Wrestling on the May 12 episode of AEW Dynamite, when he and Frankie Kazarian loss to then-AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks in a Tag Team Match and was forced to split up. Daniels has since competed in promotions such as DEFY Wrestling, NJPW and IMPACT Wrestling. There is no word yet on when Christopher Daniels will make his return to AEW, if he does, but updates will be provided once it has been made available.
