CM Punk Makes His Return On AEW Rampage, First Match Set

About two months ago, a massive news broke out that former WWE Superstar CM Punk was in serious talks in regards to an in-ring return, but that he wasn’t talking with WWE officials, rather he was talking with AEW officials. This comes after CM Punk being released by the WWE back in 2014 shortly after the 2014 WWE Royal Rumble PPV Event. CM Punk then pursued his dream of fighting in the UFC when he fought in two bouts, but he unfortunately lost both matches. Punk also pursued a movie career when he was on a number of films such as “Jakob’s Wife” and “Girl On The Third Floor.”

It was then rumored that CM Punk’s highly-anticipated AEW debut was set to take place at last night’s First Dance special episode of AEW Rampage from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. CM Punk’s AEW debut did take place at last night’s First Dance special episode of AEW Rampage as in fact it was the opening segment of the show.

As he was making his entrance, CM Punk hugged a number of fans and he even jumped into the crowd. The Best In The World then said he was back and he ended up challenging Darby Allin to a Singles Match at the All Out PPV Event on September 5th, which Allin gladly accepted via video message. Punk would end the opening segment by saying that a lot of people waited for him for a really long time, so when the fans make their way out, they will be receiving an ice cream bar on him.
