Cody Comments On The WWE And Cody Rhodes Trademark Situation

All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes recently tried to trademark his “Cody Rhodes” name, but was initially refused by the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) reportedly due to the WWE already filing to trademark the same name.

April 13th was the day WWE’s original filing to trademark the “Cody Rhodes” name expired, but they renewed it on May 15th, explaining that COVID-19 was the reason for the delay. Cody Rhodes would then file to trademark his “Cody Rhodes” name on the day WWE’s original filing to trademark his “Cody Rhodes” name expired.

Cody Rhodes recently took to Twitter and commented on the trademarking of his name, saying that it is just business and that there is no grudge. Cody Rhodes also said that trying to license him is flattering, but it doesn’t stop this train from moving.
