Cody Set To Defend His TNT Title Against Hager At Fyter Fest

Last night’s episode of Dynamite saw AEW TNT Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody retain his AEW TNT Title against Private Party’s Marq Quen. Immediately following the match, Jake Hager made his way down to the ring and choked Arn Anderson out, then went on to beat Cody Rhodes down a bit.

Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) and “Broken” Matt Hardy made their way out to help Cody in getting rid of Jake Hager, but the rest of Inner Circle made their way out as well and a huge brawl ensued. Cody Rhodes then grabbed a mic, asked Hager if he wanted the TNT Title Match at Fyter Fest, and the match was made official.

As previously reported, Cody Rhodes is set to defend his TNT Title next week on Dynamite against an opponent yet to be named. Cody would have to retain his title in that match if he wants to get his hands on Jake Hager at Fyter Fest.
