Cody Talks Favorite Match Of His Career, Sammy Guevara, More

All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes recently took part in a fan Q&A on Twitter where he talked about a number of things including what he considers to be the top match of his career, what happens if he loses to Sammy Guevara on AEW’s debut show on TNT and what is the one thing he admires most about pro wrestling these days.

Cody Rhodes was first asked what happens if he loses to Sammy Guevara on AEW’s debut show on TNT. A follow-up question was then asked that will Sammy Guevara end up getting a title shot if that happens.

This was Cody Rhodes’ response:

“He would be the logical contender for it.”

Cody Rhodes was then asked what he considers to be the top match of his career. His answer was the 2013 MITB Ladder Match that took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as he even referred to it as an “eye opening evening.”

This was Cody Rhodes’ response:

“Probably still Philly MITB, eye opening evening.”

Finally, Cody Rhodes was asked what is the one thing he admires most about pro wrestling these days.

This was Cody Rhodes’ response:

“After All In I’ve noticed it’s increasingly more talent controlled.” “Less or zero writers, less corporate agendas, more freedom (which lets the really talented wrestlers shine bright, but is also risky for the greener ones). More seasoned talent, more awareness, more listening.”
