Dark Orders Alex Reynolds Talks AEW’s Safety Protocols

Two weeks ago, during the main event of the October 21 episode of AEW Dynamite. The Darks Orders Alex Reynolds was knocked out following a Splash-Leg Drop combination from Private Party. During the match, The Blade had to drag Reynolds over to the corner to tag him out of the match.

The match went on, and All Elite Wrestling’s medical staff did not rush out to check on Reynolds. During the scary moment, other tag teams continued to do spots around him while he lay unconscious.

Reynolds eventually regained consciousness and did another spot before receiving medical attention from Dr. Michael Sampson after the match.

During a recent Pro Wrestling Junkies virtual-meet-and-greet Reynolds defended the promotion’s safety protocols and addressed fan’s concerns for the wrestlers.

“No, I think our team does a fantastic job,” Reynolds said. “I think they took care of me, right away when we all realized I was hurt. They got me out of there nice and safe, so it’s a contact sport, you know? Injuries are gonna happen and I think they’ve shown that they can handle those situations so yeah, I don’t think those safety concerns are validated, as somebody who’s kinda just lived through it. I’ve put my trust fully in our staff.”
