Details On The Car Accident That Led To Jay Briscoe’s Passing

It was previously reported that Jay Briscoe (real name Jamin Pugh), one-half of the greatest tag team in the history of ROH and one-half of one of the greatest tag teams in pro wrestling, recently passed away at the age of 38 due to a car accident nearby his home in Laurel, Delaware.

According to The Shore News Beacon, the car crash took place at 16523 Laurel Rd, which is a number of minutes away from Jay Briscoe’s home and the first police responders on the scene revealed that there were “multiple calls reporting as many as 4 patients trapped.” The report also notes that the initial responders arrived at 5:18PM local time and confirmed there was an “entrapment and Fire” at the scene and “Command advising 1 critical pediatric, 2nd serious patient. Evaluating two others.”

An update at 5:41PM local time then stated, “EMS advising 2 adult fatalities and 2 critical patients being transported at this time.” It was said that during the time of the initial report at 5:18PM, roadways were closed in the area and moments later it was confirmed by Tony Khan that Jay Brisco is one of the people who passed away.

A report from ABC affiliate WMDT then revealed that the crash left two dead, based on statements from the Delaware State Police, but no other details were provided about the other person who passed away.
