Dynamite Drew More Viewers In Key Demo Than WWE SmackDown

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite beat WWE SmackDown in the key demo. Dynamite reportedly beat WWE Monday Night RAW last week as well. Alvarez said that WWE’s SmackDown won in total viewers to its older audience, but Dynamite won in all the 18-49 demos.

This past Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown drew an average of 1.030 Million viewers on FS1 and did a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 demographic, while the October 23rd episode on FS1 did 881,000 viewers with a 0.25 rating.

The final rating for the December 11th episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX drew 2.206 Million viewers, while the episode back in October 2019 did 888,000 viewers.

SmackDown this past Friday had to go up against a college football game between USC and Oregon on FOX that drew 3.847 million viewers. FOX reportedly reaches more homes than FS1 ever does. Aside from FS1 being on cable, they are also in far fewer homes compared to the likes of ESPN.

SmackDown this Friday night was moved to FS1 due to the football game. Thus, the numbers should be up when they move to FOX this coming Friday. This past Friday’s episode of SmackDown was the go-home show of Sunday’s TLC PPV.
