This past Match, AEW held their Revolution PPV Event, which reportedly broke the company’s PPV record by bringing in 125,000 buys worldwide, which includes both the traditional and digital platforms (B/R Live, FITE and traditional PPV). Dave Meltzer mentioned on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that the early PPV numbers of this past weekend’s Double or Nothing Event shows that it will be the promotion’s second biggest PPV Event behind this past March’s Revolution.
The 2020 Double or Nothing PPV Event set company PPV records at the time by bringing in about 115,000 – 120,000 buys and by the way things are going it looks like the 2021 Double or Nothing PPV will beat those numbers by 12%, but its worth nothing that these are just early estimates and that they are not currently on track to beat the PPV buy numbers of Revolution.
