Ethan Page was one of the biggest free agents in pro wrestling when his contract with IMPACT expired, but he decided not to re-sign with IMPACT Wrestling, instead he had the option of signing with AEW or the WWE as they had showed a lot of interest in the former IMPACT Wrestling Star.
Ethan Page ended up signing with AEW, where he made his unofficial promotional debut at their Revolution PPV Event as the surprise sixth entrant in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match that also saw Penta El Zero M, Cody Rhodes, Scorpio Sky, Lance Archer and Max Caster compete in. The match saw Scorpio Sky picking up the huge win.
The promotion’s newest signee Ethan Page recently took part in a Q&A session with fans on his YouTube channel, where he was asked why he decided to sign with AEW instead of WWE. Ethan said AEW was always at the top of his list and he wouldn’t be able to do the Q&A session and other outside projects if he wasn’t in AEW. Page also said that he thinks the promotion gives the talent some really good creative freedom as well to be who they are and who they want to be.
This is what Ethan Page said:
“Interesting question, I’m going to give you a very lazy answer. I wanted to go to AEW from the chance that I even thought about moving from one place to another. AEW was always at the top of my list. I would not be able to do this stream with you guys, I would not be able to answer these crazy-ass questions, I would not be able to do my vlog, Twitch, or any outside projects like that.”
“I think they give the talent some really good creative freedom as well to be who they are and who they want to be. You’re going to see ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page. I really had a hand in designing my first t-shirt for AEW. Yeah, you’re going to see sprinkles of my creativity throughout my AEW career. It’s more of a collaboration, which is awesome.”
