According to a recent report by F4WOnline.com, AEW Commentator Excalibur is expected to make his return to the commentary booth and continue his commentary duties alongside “Good Ole’ J.R.” Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone.
This will be Excalibur’s first time back on Dynamite since the July 29th episode. He was originally scheduled to return on the August 12th episode of Dynamite, but his return was pushed back to August 26th, which was then pushed back once more to September 2nd.
An official reason for Excalibur being removed from commentary and being told to stay home was not given, but the belief is that it was due to a comment he made in a PWG Show with WWE Star Kevin Owens about a decade or two ago, which included racial slurs. People close to Excalibur reportedly suggested that he remove himself off of AEW TV to avoid the bad PR and backlash the company may get, but his absence ended up only putting more of a focus on the incident.
Last week’s AEW TV Tapings saw Excalibur make his much-anticipated return to continue his commentary duties for lat night’s episode of Dark.
