Fans Attending Friday’s AEW Rampage In Chicago Required To Wear Masks

This coming Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage, which is the First Dance special episode of the show and the second episode of Rampage, is set to take place from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, with the expectation that this will be one of the biggest shows in promotion history as it’s expected that former WWE Superstar CM Punk will be making his highly-anticipated and most-awaited AEW debut. If the former WWE Superstar does make his AEW debut this Friday on Rampage, then this will be the first time since 2014 that Punk returns to active in-ring competition in pro wrestling.

Unfortunately for the fans who will be attending the show, they are required to wear masks due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases in the city. Chicago city health officials recently announced that a mask mandate has been put in effect beginning this Friday, August 20th, which is when Rampage will be in the city of Chicago.

According to city officials, this mask mandate was necessary due to the average number of daily cases increasing to 400 this week. This mask mandate means that people going to indoor venues such as bars, restaurants and gyms are also required to wear masks. City officials also said that this mask mandate applies to any person regardless of vaccination status. Updates will be provided once made available.
