How WWE And AEW Hope To Deal With State Wide COVID-19 Orders

Orange County, Florida reportedly has a mandate in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic that seems to require everyone in the area to wear a mask, but that mandate reportedly will not apply to WWE’s TV Tapings. The reason for this is that according to the WWE, this mandate only applies to those people in public places whereas the company’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida is considered a private property.

The other mandate reportedly affects those who are from the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut in which people are required to quarantine for two weeks before being able to mingle with the general society as these places have a high-ratio of COVID-19 cases.

This mandate affects both the WWE and AEW in multiple ways due to the promotions taping in Florida, which is considered a high-risk state. AEW was hoping that their constant testing of everyone in the company would allow them to have their talent return home without being quarantined.

While WWE’s plan is to circumvent the quarantine order by flying talent in and out of Philadelphia, then having them drive to the states of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey.
