It was previously reported that top AEW Star Bryan Danielson was scheduled to make an appearance at a fan meet-and-greet last Month in New Bedford, Massachusetts, but he was unable to appear as according to Fightful Select, Danielson was dealing with an undisclosed injury and due to that the top AEW Star was unable to fly. Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com then revealed that Danielson would suffer an injury in the Anarchy In The Arena Match at the AEW Double Or Nothing PPV Event, but his injury doesn’t look to be anything of major concern and too serious that he will be kept out of in-ring action for a very long period of time.
There were then reports that stated Bryan Danielson would suffer a concussion and that would cost him to miss the Forbidden Door PPV, where he was originally set to face Zack Sabre Jr. in Singles action. Danielson’s injury would also cost him to miss the Blood & Guts AEW Dynamite and he would be replaced by none other than Claudio Castagnoli, who reportedly made his All Elite Wrestling debut earlier than originally planned or anticipated.
Bryan Danielson made a huge announcement during the company’s recent panel at the San Diego Comic-Con that he has officially been cleared to return to action and that he will be battling Daniel Garcia of The Jericho Appreciation Society on this coming Wednesday’s Fight for the Fallen episode of Dynamite.
AEW President and CEO Tony Khan recently spoke with the New York Post and revealed that Danielson was not feeling well 8 days prior to the joint AEW and NJPW Forbidden Door Event and despite the AEW Star insisting that he competes on the show, Khan still decided to pull him from Forbidden Door. Khan also revealed that Danielson was feeling great a few weeks ago on the day of the Road Rager episode of AEW Dynamite. Tony Khan then revealed that he didn’t want Danielson to return to in-ring action until the top AEW Star was feeling 100% as he is being extra cautious with the handling of one of the company’s top stars due to Danielson’s history of concussions.
There’s no word yet on the storyline or feud Danielson will be put into once he makes his return, but his feud prior to suffering an injury was against the Jericho Appreciation Society and we must assume his storyline with the Jericho Appreciation Society will continue since his first match back from him being put on the shelf due to an injury is against a member of the Jericho Appreciation Society.
