Illinois Has Issued A Statewide Indoor Mask Mandate Ahead Of All Out

AEW’s upcoming All Out PPV, which will be one of the biggest PPVs in company history as the show will be stacked from top to bottom, with CM Punk set to make his AEW in-ring debut against Darby Allin, is set to take place from the NOW Arena in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. All Out will also see AEW World Champion Kenny Omega defend his AEW World Title against Christian Cage, Paul Wight vs. QT Marshall in Singles action, Jon Moxley vs. Satoshi Kojima also in Singles action, MJF vs. “The Demo God” Chris Jericho (with Jericho’s AEW in-ring career on the line), AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) defending their AEW World Tag Team Titles against The Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) and AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. defending her AEW Women’s World Title against Kris Statlander.

Unfortunately for the fans who will be attending the show, they are required to wear masks due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases in the state of Illinois. This past Thursday, Governor J.B. Pritzker of the state of Illinois issued a statewide indoor mask mandate, wherein starting this Monday, August 30th, everyone in the state is required to wear a mask.

Fans who attended AEW Rampage last Friday night were required to wear masks as well, but that mandate was issued by the city health officials in Chicago and it is due to the average number of daily COVID cases increasing to 400 during that week.
