Initial Double Or Nothing PPV Buys Could Be Recordbreaking For AEW

Details on the buy rate for AEW Double or Nothing, are starting to come out. Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that early numbers indicate the show could set a new record of PPV buys in the history of All Elite Wrestling.

Double or Nothing iPPV buys through B/R Live was up more than 10% from the Revolution PPV in February of 2020. That number could be closer to 15% higher when it is all said and done.

That would put 2020’s Double Or Nothing at 115,000 to 120,000 buys. This would top the 100,000 – 110,000 buys generated by Double Or Nothing in 2019.

It should be noted that cable PPV numbers are not in yet. However, those numbers look good considering the event didn’t have any fans in the arena and took place during the COVID-19 pandemic.

All Out is the next PPV event to take place in September. All Out 2019 did around 100,000 buys last year. Full Gear in November of 2019 drew an estimated 100,000 pay-per-view buys. AEW Revolution did between 100,000 to 105,000 PPV buys.
