Details On Jake Hager’s AEW Agreement And Bellator

Jake Hager, formerly known as Jack Swagger from WWE, recently made his AEW debut on the first-ever AEW Dynamite episode on TNT. Currently, Hager is scheduled to fight for Bellator on October 25, 2019, against Anthony Garrett at Bellator 231.

We have yet to see Hager fight in an AEW ring yet, now we might know why. According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Jake Hager had an agreement that he wouldn’t wrestle until after his fight for Bellator at the Mohegan Sun Casino on 10/25 on a show that will air on Paramount. Hager faces Anthony Garrett (4-2), who is actually a bigger guy than Hager at 6-foot-5 (same as Hager) and he cuts to make 265, while Hager last fought at 238. Hager noted with his gimmick in AEW as a badass MMA fighter, he really can’t afford a loss. His agreement was that he’s doing TV every week and taking Tuesday and Wednesdays as his days off training while training the other five days, but wouldn’t wrestle matches until after the fight to avoid the injury risk”

Could we see Hager in his debut match at AEW Full Gear in November?
