Jericho On Who Came Up With “Release The Hounds” On Dynamite

Top AEW Star Chris Jericho recently did a live Q&A with the fans, which he calls “Saturday Night Special” on his Facebook. During the Q&A, Chris Jericho talked about the segment he did with Matt Hardy’s drone, Vanguard1, on Dynamite and who came up with the “Release The Hounds” line.

According to Chris Jericho, it was he himself who was behind the whole idea of the segment with Vanguard 1. Jericho also said that it was AEW President and CEO Tony Khan who came up with the “Release The Hounds” line.

Even though the “Release The Hounds” line is something that Chris Jericho and Khan can put on a t-shirt, Jericho revealed that since somebody already owns the trademarks of the line and issues that can be brought about by those trademarks, they will not be able to sell a t-shirt with the “Release The Hounds” line.

This is what Chris Jericho said:

“Crazy week we’ve had so far.” “We did AEW Dynamite on Wednesday in an undisclosed location. I’ll say this – in Georgia, though. And I had this idea to do this thing with Vanguard 1 where he kind of invaded my house, and did the whole thing with ‘Release the hounds!,’ which we’ve already tried t make a t-shirt for but we can’t because some jackass out there owns the ‘Release the hounds!’ trademark on a shirt.”

“So, I’m sorry. I know you guys would like a ‘Release the hounds!’ shirt but we can’t make them because it’s trademarked. People will trademark anything these days!”
