WWE NXT Slightly Tops AEW Dynamite In Viewers, AEW Ranked Higher

The ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT were released Thursday. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, it was a mixed bag. AEW out ranked NXT, but NXT finished with slightly more viewers.

AEW drew 692,000 viewers up from last week’s 685,000 viewers and finished 32nd overall, still way down from two weeks ago when it finished with 819,000 viewers. As with last week’s show, this show took place in front of no fans in Georgia at the Nightmare Factory. That show featured the main event of Cody def. Shawn Spears in the first round of the TNT Championship.

NXT drew 693,000 viewers up from last week’s record low of 590,000 viewers. It finished 51st overall, this is up from last week’s record low.

The total combined audience for both shows was up from last week to 1.385 million viewers. Last week was the lowest combined audience to watch on Wednesday night at 1.275 million viewers. 

Based on the ratings, still, most people in the US were watching one of the three cable news networks most of the night due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You would think eventually people will get tired of watching the news.

Demographic breakdown:

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.26 / NXT: 0.19
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.11
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.35
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.13
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.08
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.14
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.30
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.29
