AEW wrestler John Skyler suffered a major knee injury during his match on AEW Dark this week. He announced the injury via his Facebook account.
“Last Wednesday, in what can only be described as an unavoidable freak accident (nobody’s fault), in one fell swoop….I suffered tears in my ACL, MCL, and PCL in my right knee…that will sadly, keep me from doing what I love for a little while (projected to be around six months). Decisions on inevitable surgery and rehab will be made early next week.”
Skyler wrote he will be out of action for six months and noted that decisions on surgery and rehab will be made early next week.

I’ll be back (in six months…hopefully sooner) & I’ll be ready to pick up where I left off. #TuesdayNightSkyler is only preempted.
Thanks to everyone at @AEWrestling for their unwavering support & generosity.
BTW …I finished the match. 😏 https://t.co/fsfvvqZQIV
