Jon Moxley Reportedly Not Be Working NJPW Dallas Show

AEW Star & IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley will reportedly not be competing at the first day of NJPW’s G1 Climax 29 Tournament to be held on Saturday, July 6th from The American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The first day of the tournament will kick off with matches from the A Block. Jon Moxley, on the other hand, has been announced for the B Block, which is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, July 13th from The Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.

Jon Moxley was never announced for the show in the first place, but it was recently confirmed by NJPW that he will definitely not be on the show. Moxley will not be on the G1 Climax 29 Press Conference either, which is set to take place on Friday, July 5th.

According to Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio Program, the reason that Jon Moxley will not be at the first day of NJPW’s G1 Climax 29 Tournament from The American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas is due to his All Elite Wrestling contract. Under the terms and conditions of his contract with AEW, the company has exclusive rights over Jon Moxley and it seems that they did not allow him to work the show.

AEW Stars such as Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho will be able to work certain NJPW Shows as long as it won’t be taking place in the U.S. However, that could all change if NJPW & AEW will come up with some sort of working relationship or agreement. Jon Moxley will be making his AEW in-ring debut on Saturday, June 29th at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida at AEW Fyter Fest against “Bad Boy” Joey Janela.
