Last Week’s Dynamite Viewership Up For Saturday Night Episode

Last week’s Dynamite episode, which was the promotion’s fourth time to hold the show on a Friday, was able to draw a total of 552,000 viewers, while this past Saturday’s Dynamite episode, which was AEW’s first time to hold an episode of Dynamite on a Saturday, was able to draw a total of 649,000 viewers, according to F4Wonline.com.

This total is up 17.6% from last week’s episode of Dynamite, which drew a rating of 0.21 in the 18-49 key demo. This rating is up 5% from last week’s rating, which is AEW’s best viewership since they had an episode of Dynamite in their normal Wednesday night timeslot on May 19th.

This past Saturday night’s Dynamite episode featured AEW World Champion Kenny Omega defending his AEW World Title against Jungle Boy in a blockbuster main event matchup.

The viewership number of last Saturday night’s Dynamite episode, which drew the best audience for AEW on this temporary timeslot due to the NBA Playoffs, was up 2.5% from the same week in 2020, which was going head-to-head against WWE NXT TV at the time, while the 18-49 key demo rating was down 4.6% from the same week in 2020. The Dynamite episode last year was the lowest rating show of that year outside of a special one-hour Thursday Night Dynamite that aired in September.
