All Elite Wrestling has had quite a number of their top stars suffer from an injury over the past few months, including Adam Cole. At AEW and NJPW’s joint Forbidden Door Event, Adam Cole competed in a 4-Way Match for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title between himself, Kazuchika Okada, Hangman Page and the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White, It was reported that Cole suffered a concussion during the brutal 4-Way Match and he has not appeared on AEW TV since.
Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that Cole has not been cleared yet from the really bad concussion and there is a chance he could be cleared soon or possibly even never.
This is what Dave Meltzer said:
“You hear anything new? It’s a concussion. It’s a bad concussion. Real bad concussion. He’ll be back when he’s cleared, it could be tomorrow, and it could be never, you know what I mean?”
Bryan Alvarez then added that he hasn’t heard anything as well and Cole is still active on his Twitch channel, but as far as traveling and competing inside of a ring is concerned, he does not know Cole’s status.
This is what Bryan Alvarez said:
“Yeah, I’ve not really heard anything. He’s doing his Twitch deal every day, so from that aspect, he’s fine, but I don’t know what the status of being able to travel, work, or anything is, so I guess we’ll see.”
Adam Cole has been a top star in every wrestling promotion he has competed in and All Elite Wrestling is no different since he made his promotional debut for the company at the September 2021 All Out PPV Event.
