Mance Warner’s Release Request Denied Preventing AEW Signing

As previously reported, AEW has been showing big interest in signing MLW Star Mance Warner to a contract, but there are issues preventing that as Bodyslam.net recently noted that he was denied to be released from his MLW contact by the company so that he will not be able to sign with AEW.

The report also indicates that since Warner is currently still under contract to MLW and is clearly finding a way to get out of his deal to sign with AEW, a legal situation is developing, but AEW is still 100% interested in signing him.

It was also indicated that Warner is still expected to be present for MLW’s upcoming TV tapings. MLW hasn’t held a TV taping since March 13th due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brian Pillman Jr. is another MLW Star that recently made the jump to AEW. However, Pillman Jr. was allowed to compete on AEW Dark, despite being under contact to MLW as he stated in an interview that his MLW contract allows him to work for AEW.
