Match Stopped At ROH’s TV Tapings Due To A Scary Spot

AEW held the latest set of television tapings for their ROH brand prior to and immediately after this past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. A match that took place during the tapings between “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal vs. Griff Garrison and Cole Karter ended in a referee stoppage due to a scary spot.

Karter landed rather awkwardly and painfully on his head after he was hit with a twisting splash move from Sydal and the belief was Karter suffered a concussion. Referee Paul Turner, who was the official in charge of the tag team match, then decided to put an end to it after he and Daniels realized there was something wrong. AEW ringside physician Doctor Sampson then checked on Karter and thankfully Cole was able to walk to the back under his own power.

There’s no word yet on the status of Karter and the severity of his injuries, but when he fell on his head it was said to be a very scary few moments. Updates will be provided on Cole Karter’s injury and status once it has been made available.
