Matt Sydal On His AEW Debut At All Out, Talks Bad Botch

As previously reported, former WWE Superstar Matt Sydal made his AEW debut by entering the 21-Man Casino Battle Royale this past Saturday night at AEW All Out as the final participant.

Sometime during the match, Sydal would go for his shooting star press maneuver off the top rope, but would unfortunately slip and land hard on his hip. Sydal’s bad botch and fall would, fortunately, be not as serious as it seemed as he was able to finish the match and he was even able to make it as one of the final four competitors.

Sydal took to Twitter following his AEW debut and commented on the memorable experience by saying,

“Thank you @AEWrestling for last night. We made a memorable debut, now it’s time to really open some 3rd eyes!”

Matt Sydal would also talk about the unfortunate botch on his shooting star press maneuver by saying,

“I think that was a sign. I’ll be using all new material next time. Stay tuned in to see what I’m saying.”
