When Kenny Omega won the AEW World Championship and swiftly appeared on Impact Wrestling with Don Callis, fans have been given permission to think of all sorts of matchups with most of us wondering where Omega will go next.
Well, If Michael Bennett gets what he wants, Omega will be on his way to Ring of Honor. Speaking on the Wrestling With Awareness podcast, Bennett said the following:
“Well, you know, first and foremost, Kenny’s one of the most gifted professional wrestlers I think I’ve ever seen. He’s had some of the greatest matches I’ve ever witnessed with Okada, and I think his work over in New Japan speaks for itself, the things he’s done in The Bullet Club.
“But I personally would love to wrestle him, I’ve never gotten in the ring with him; I would have a blast. I think the world of his talent, and if he’s paying attention, please, please, please come to Ring of Honor!”
Since AEW and NJPW have recently begun a partnership to go along with a long-standing working relationship between AEW and AAA and NWA a potential union with ROH isn’t that unthinkable.
It also needs to be considered that ROH and NJPW have had a strong working relationship in the past. The most notable example being when they co-promoted the G1 Supercard show at Madison Square Garden in 2019.
