Mike Chioda Provides An Update On His Status With AEW

Former WWE referee and wrestling legend Mike Chioda, who has officiated a number of matchups for AEW, recently took to an episode of the Monday Mailbag With Mike Chioda podcast on AdFreeShows.com to talk about how it was good to see familiar faces in AEW and how it was almost like a family reunion.

This is what Mike Chioda said:

“It was good to see Steven Regal and everybody.” “Seen [CM] Punk for a little bit there, talked to him and talked to Daniel Bryan and stuff, Chris Jericho. It was just good to see everybody. It was like almost a family reunion over there.”

Mike Chioda also talked about how his latest AEW appearance was just a one-shot deal and how his deal with any promotion he has recently worked with has been a part-time thing.

This is what Mike Chioda said:

“At least they’re just keeping me in mind.” “Part-time there, part-time here and I appreciate that very much.”

Mike Chioda then talked about how he’s not done with refereeing yet and how he still has 2 or 3 years more left in him.

This is what Mike Chioda said:

“A lot of guys were saying, ‘Hey, do you still want to referee?’” “I get a lot of signing requests and so forth and then they ask me, ‘Are you still refereeing? We want you to referee our main event match,’ or so forth. Cause a lot of people are thinking I’m pretty much finished, but I’d to at least a couple more years, two or three more years of this.”
