All Elite Wrestling will be having their Double Or Nothing Event this coming Sunday and the lineup is already stacked from top to bottom, but it seems that one more match will be added to the card and it will be a Mixed Tag Team Matchup. Dave Meltzer reported on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that a match in the ongoing rivalry between “The Spanish God” Sammy Guevara and AEW TNT Champion Scorpio Sky is “internally listed” for this Sunday’s Double Or Nothing PPV, but the plan for their match on Sunday’s PPV is for Paige VanZant and Tay Conti to be involved, making it into a Mixed Tag Team Match.
Meltzer also noted that the plan is to either have Scorpio Sky team up with Paige VanZant to face Tay Conti and Sammy Guevara or Ethan Page team up with Paige VanZant to face Tay Conti and Sammy Guevara. AEW could reportedly also choose to handle the feud in a different way or schedule the Mixed Tag Team Match for a later date.

“They’re still going to do something with Sammy Guevara and Scorpio Sky. So the plan for sure was a mixed tag. I know people who presume it still is the idea, and when I watched the TV and they’re [Guevara and Kazarian] were pounding the belts. They said they were gonna do it until they get the match they want, and they made it very clear the match they wanted was Sammy and Tay against Paige VanZant and Scorpio Sky or Ethan Page, they want that mixed tag. Unless something changed, the mixed tag is it….I was outright told over the weekend that it was listed. Until it’s announced it’s not announced, they could do it a different way. But, I was actually outright told that the match is tentatively scheduled for the pay-per-view.”
A backstage segment took place during this past Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage, where Sammy Guevara, Tay Conti and Frankie Kazarian used a sledgehammer to destroy the AEW TNT Championship, so it is also possible that a Mixed Trios Tag Team Match will take place at Sunday’s AEW Double Or Nothing Event or at a later date and that the match will be announced either during tonight’s AEW Dynamite or Friday’s AEW Rampage.
