Moxley Addresses Crowd At Revolution Due To Weak Explosions

As previously reported, AEW World Champion Kenny Omega successfully retained his AEW World Title last night at the Revolution PPV in an Exploding Barber Wire Deathmatch. This brutal encounter between Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega saw both wrestlers get thrown into the three sides of the ring ropes that were wrapped in barbed wire.

After the match, Moxley gets handcuffed and beaten to a pulp by Omega and the Good Brothers. The time on the 30-minute countdown then began to wind off as Moxley was left alone in the ring.

Kingston then made his way down to the ring to try and protect Moxley, but he couldn’t get to him on time and Eddie Kingston just covered Jon Moxley.

When the timer ended, the “huge” explosion at the end was sparklers on the four ring posts, followed by smaller explosions on each side of the ring. The audience was not thrilled with the explosions and boos started raining down as the PPV came to a close.

Following Revolution going off the air, Moxley spoke to the live crowd on the weak explosions. Moxley said Kenny Omega may be a tough son of a b, but he can’t make an exploding ring worth a s. Jon then said he has seen more dangerous s on Ridiculousness on MTV and what the f* was that.

Moxley then ended by thanking the fans for coming out, while also putting over how hard all the stars worked from the first match until the last. Moxley then said he will be back to reclaim the World Title from Omega.

WWE NXT Star Shotzi Blackheart and WWE Monday Night RAW Star T-Bar of RETRIBUTION took to Twitter and commented on the botched explosion as well.
